Our partner, a leading manufacturer of loading dock equipment, seeks a motivated Sourcing Specialist to join their team in Germantown, WI.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with procurement strategies to ensure availability of parts and raw materials for manufacturing areas
- Process, track, and ensure completion of sourcing activities and initiatives
- Maintain data integrity in ERP and other business systems
- Track and analyze supplier spend, commodity, volume, currency, timing, and other fluctuations
- Support the Request For Quote process and develop supplier business reviews
- Assist with Bill of Materials Scrubs prior to New Product Development design reviews
- Resolve quality issues involving materials and shop paperwork
- Plan, develop, and purchase materials, parts, supplies, and equipment
- Assist with phase in and phase out inventory for new or obsolete parts
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-3 years of manufacturing experience in inventory, planning/scheduling, purchasing, or supply chain management
- Knowledge of MRP or ERP systems, demand flow manufacturing, Kan Ban, lean manufacturing, vendor management, and vendor replenishment programs
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to travel to out-of-state locations 1-2 times per year
