Position Summary:

The Global Sales Operations Manager is responsible for the fulfillment of all SIG SAUER export sales covering the international commercial and defense business markets ranging from small-scale orders to more intricate and sophistacted contracts and projects. The position is the key link between customers and SIG SAUER and will be responsible for a broad array of duties. This person is the primary point of contact for all sales support related activities for the assigned region, with the primary focus being to successfully execute on new orders/contracts from inception to completion (quote to cash). This person will be involved in quoting, contract review, order entry and management, export compliance, supply chain, and logistics, etc. Individuals must be highly motivated, self-sufficient, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The position coordinates internally and externally to manage and support sales support functions while keeping our customers satisfied and engaged with our products and services.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as key point of contact for the assigned territory, responsible for all sales support activities relating to the processing of export transactions for the SIG SAUER international sales channel.
  • Manage the end-to-end process of international sales contract fulfillment, encompassing quoting, negotiation, agreement, and delivery. Responsible for order entry and order management relating to monitoring customers request dates and scheduled ship dates, holds on orders preventing shipments and aligning proper export licensing with all open order lines.
  • Support field sales on a variety of tasks directly related to the sale and/or development of business.
  • Review opportunities with sales, develop quotes, negotiate order conditions.
    Review contracts, identify requirements, delegate to the appropriate business unit leads, and track deliverables.
  • Responsible for assisting outside sales and foreign business partners with hosting international delegations at SIG SAUER faciltities for either pre-sale activities, or post-sale product inspections after shipment.
  • Collaborate with different team leaders of various disciplines to meet technical and operational requirements of highly regulated products.
  • Engage with Export Compliance department to obtain US Government approved export licensing for all open orders
  • Collaborate closely with product management to ensure customer specific product requirements are met and use product lifecycle management software to log the data.
  • Collaborate with SIG SAUER logistics and network of freight forwarders to obtain freight quotes and source best freight method as required.
  • Responds to incoming calls, e-mails for new orders, or warranty claims, pricing issues, general inquiries for all product lines.
  • Responsible for decisions that impact resources, scheduling, contractual commitments, and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilizes several different programs to manage and book orders, research technical requirements/questions, process quotes, and analyze sales and production data.
  • Communicates order and account statuses to account managers and customers as well as monthly and quarterly revenue projections.
  • Physically inspect orders as necessary.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience supporting a sales organization. International sales experience a plus.
  • Prior experience must include: Salesforce.com or another CRM experience. Daily processing of complex sales transactions, order entry and customer service. Qualified candidates will have a strong understanding of international contracting including ITAR/BIS licensing and past experience handling complex projects.
  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing multiple projects with on-time results in a dynamic and fast paced business environment.
  • Past experience managing large/complex sales contracts
  • Understanding of finances including Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, etc. a plus
  • Project and/or Program Management experience is a plus.
  • Strong command of MS Office
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
