Position Summary:
The Senior Tax Specialist will be responsible for managing and executing tax compliance and advisory services for a variety of clients. This role involves complex tax return preparation, research, and planning. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and planning to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide tax advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to gather information, present findings, and provide recommendations.
  • Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and regulations to ensure compliance and identify new planning opportunities.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance the quality of service provided to clients.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software (preferably CCH) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
