Mitigation/Contents Supervisor

The Mitigation/Contents Supervisor works within our Emergency Services (Mitigation) Department, primarily responsible to ensure growth and development of the mitigation business, department, and staff. Coaching, teamwork, leadership and long-term business outlook are all elements of the role.

$27.00 - $34.00 per hour (BOE) + bonus opportunities

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Management and delegation of Mitigation Department staff
  • Train and coach Mitigation Department staff and (Technicians and Coordinators)
  • This role participates in an on-call rotation with all other office team members
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews with staff
  • Participate in the hiring process
  • Approve hourly employees timecards on a weekly basis
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings
  • Responsible for Resource Management of the following:
    • Movement, care, and inventory of equipment in the warehouse and on jobsites
    • Tracking of assets (equipment)
    • Dispatching of Technicians
    • On Call Schedule
    • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Staffing needs
  • Complete scoping and data collection for Mitigation losses
  • Utilize MICA reporting and all other program software to improve our results.
  • Review estimates written by estimators
  • Communicate and negotiate with insurance carriers
  • Auditing of customer service complaints
  • Manage and exceed expectations for job profit
  • Ensure production meets the set Gross Profit goals
  • Monitor and address safety issues and practice safety practices including proper PPE
  • Follow the Paul Davis Values, Vision, Mission, and 10 Serving Basics
  • Marketing and sales of your companys services to current and potential client base, insurance carriers, and industry professionals
  • Drive Emergency Services Sales Division
  • Attend industry related trainings
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Ability to pass and maintain a Valid Drivers license and MVR check

Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Two plus years experience in a Management or Leadership role within the Restoration Industry
  • Working knowledge of MICA, RMS and Water Mitigation tools
  • Experience with writing Emergency Services (Mitigation) estimates
Preferred Education and Experience
  • IICRC certifications
Physical Requirement
  • Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • The person in this position needs to frequently move about clients properties to complete estimates and oversee completion of jobs
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, fax machine, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Must be able to observe and perceive information on a computer and documents
  • Must be able to communicate and converse with customers and staff over the phone and face to face
  • Occasionally will lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to safely operate a company vehicle
Work Environment
The employee will be working indoors and outdoors. The employee will be exposed to air conditioning and heat. The employees will be exposed to normal noises throughout the office. The employee will be exposed to extreme heat and cold weather due to outdoor temperatures. The employee may be required to use a respirator for safety.

Travel
This position will require up to 90% local travel to jobs sites (as needed).
