The Business Development Associate position is responsible for creating long-term value for Phase 3 by finding new opportunities for growth and expansion. As the Business Development Associate, you will use various strategies, including research, prospecting, emailing, meetings and networking to identify, connect and quality prospective clients.

 

This is an entry level position, reporting to the Sr. Director of Client Engagement. We are looking for someone with excellent organization, strong verbal and written communication skills and a winning mindset.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Prospecting: Identify and research new, “good fit” companies and contacts that align with Phase 3’s personas and industries using online tools and resources, such as Zoominfo.
  • Outreach: Develop and send targeted and customized email campaigns via HubSpot to prospects, properly positioning the company in an effort to start a conversation and begin the qualification process.
  • Presentation: Coordinate and present Phase 3’s capabilities presentation, tailoring it as needed for various industries and products.
  • Follow-up: Schedule and conduct timely follow up with prospects to maintain interest and move the opportunity through the sales process.
  • Organization: Maintain complete and current records of activity within our marketing automation platform, HubSpot. Ensure accuracy of information via data hygiene methods and best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams in agency, print production and branded merchandise, along with sales and business development teams, to keep opportunities moving forward.
  • Networking: Utilize Social Selling techniques as well as attend industry and business events to represent Phase 3, serve as a brand ambassador and connect with prospective clients.
  • Reporting: Create and submit regular reports on activities, opportunities and deals created through prospecting efforts.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales or related field
  • 0 to 4 years of sales experience
  • Curious and eager to learn
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter
  • Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented
  • Outgoing and unafraid to prospect and cold call for new business
  • Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of a PC and Microsoft Office software
  • HubSpot or CRM knowledge is preferable, but not required
