General Statement of PositionThis position primarily consists of filling customer orders in a timely manner.
Essential Job Functions
- Loading and unloading of parts from wire basket into or onto cardboard/ wooden pallets.
- Assembling cardboard boxes.
- Following instructions on protective and proper shipping techniques
- Completing proper paperwork documentation recording for packing on box count sheet.
- Moving products with a pallet jack.
- Follow Nelson Global Products standards, policies and objectives.
- Ability to apply TS16949 guidelines and best practices.
- Maintaining general housekeeping.
Qualifications
- At least one year of relevant work experience is preferred.
- Must have a general working knowledge and average skill in loading and unloading parts.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to do basic math, including decimals and percentages.
- Ability to work a pallet jack.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must have basic computer skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Continuous mental and visual attention is required.
- Requires constant alertness and attention to detail of correct product shipped and the count quantity.
- Work involves likelihood of irregularity of work schedule to meet customer demand.
- Performing these duties will involve lifting, pulling, or pushing physical objects; standing, stooping and bending, walking and standing for long periods of time.
- Working in hot, cold, noisy work areas and being exposed to odors, fumes, and dust.
- Must be able to constantly sustain exertion and lifting of parts ranging from 0 -50 lbs.
- Personal Protective Equipment includes safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
Safety/Environmental
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for this position includes (but is not limited to):
- Safety Glasses (ANSI Z87 rated)
- Cut-Resistant Sleeves
- Cut-Resistant Gloves
- Safety-Toe Shoes

- This position requires compliance with all applicable environmental rules, regulations, and programs.

- Employees in this position may need to place bad parts into designated scrap collection areas.

- Chemicals may be used to correct mistakes or complete the packing process, such as:
- Rust Preventative
- Denatured Alcohol
- Various Cleaners/Detergents
- Utility Use
- Employees utilize electricity, compressed air, and other resources to complete assigned tasks.
- Pollution
- Employees have the risk of pollution if environmental rules/programs are not followed properly.
- Chemicals may be used to correct mistakes or complete the packing process, such as:
