About the Role

AUTEC Car Wash Systems is looking for an experienced Materials Manager to lead the production planning processes, material procurement, inventory and transaction management, shipping, and receiving within our company.

Our ideal candidate will be characterized by excellent organizational and record-keeping skills. A strong attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude are qualities the ideal candidate must possess. Our goal is to ensure our operations always have an adequate flow of the material they need, when they need it.

This position is perfect for a candidate who possesses both procurement and inventory management experience and is looking for an opportunity to add value to this rapidly growing company by overseeing all things supply chain related.

Responsibilities

  • All inventory related processes, levels and accuracy
  • Supplier relations, price negotiations & order placement
  • Creative and strategic sourcing activities that ensure timely flow of high-quality materials
  • Development, monitoring, and reporting of KPI’s, such as inventory turns and OTS
  • Warehouse management, purchasing & shipping/receiving activities and respective staff
  • Ownership of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system - SAP
  • Development and implementation of inventory control procedures and best practices
  • Collaboration with other functions/departments to ensure Bill of Material accuracy/adherence

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or combination of education and equivalent work experience
  • Ability to lead and inspire team members
  • Customer service-oriented
  • Experience in Strategic Sourcing/Purchasing
  • Experience working within an ERP system, such as SAP
  • Understanding of inventory flow processes and concepts (WIP, Backflush, etc.)
  • Experience managing Cycle Count and Physical Inventory processes
  • A “continuous improvement” and “hands-on” mentality
  • Demonstrated professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
