About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing basic bookkeeping tasks, maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and processing payroll entries.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger and trial balance for assigned companies.

  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements.

  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

  • Monitor cash flow and manage cash requirements.

  • Ensure the accuracy of payroll processed by an external payroll company.

  • Pass payroll entries into the accounting system.

  • Maintain payroll records and prepare payroll reports.

  • Assist in filing tax returns with a CPA.

  • Prepare and file sales tax returns, payroll tax returns, and other required tax documents.

  • Assist with the preparation of annual tax returns.

  • Generate financial reports and perform financial analysis to support management decision-making.

  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance and efficiency.

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

  • Manage fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.

  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

  • One to two years of bookkeeping experience

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other Microsoft and Google suites

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Able to work in Sacramento, CA
