Summary/Objective:

  • Oversee the shipment and receipt of outgoing and incoming materials, parts, and products.
  • Manage shipping and receiving processes for effectiveness.
  • Suggest improvements to distribution procedures, and act to improve timeliness or reduce costs.
  • Document shipping or receiving information.
  • Complete reports for management.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage departmental budgets.
  • Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials.
  • Interview, select, and train warehouse and supervisory personnel.
  • Plan, develop, or implement warehouse safety programs and activities.
  • Issue shipping instructions and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
  • Work with freight carriers to estimate outbound/inbound shipments costs.
  • Manage all inbound and outbound shipment schedules for both locations.
  • Schedule and monitor pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials.
  • Maintain raw and finished goods material in accordance with ERP system requirements.
  • Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, equipment and order testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Proven success in a warehouse or fulfillment environment.
  • Previous experience with temporary staffing workforce.
  • At least 5 years of recent experience in a Management or Leadership Role.
  • The ability to train and educate staff.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work on a team and independently.
  • Strong background in Production/Manufacturing Scheduling.
  • Ability to work in Microsoft office.
  • ERP Software Knowledge a plus.
  • Experience in coordinating, supervising, managing, or training others.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 5 years of recent experience in a related field/position.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills.
