Job Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for pulling, preparing, and shipping parts and assemblies according to production schedules. This role also involves maintaining detailed documentation of product receipts and shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick and pull orders to stage for shipment
• Stage items in advance for on-time delivery
• Maintain inventory of packing materials and requisition in accordance with production schedule
• Notify QA for shipping audits
• Maintain and comply with customer shipping requirements
• Perform inventory updates
• Maintain records of items received and shipped
• Load and unload trucks
• Utilize six-sigma quality tools, when appropriate, to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control processes and outcomes.

Requirements:

• Strong communication, attention to detail, and organization skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year experience in Shipping and Receiving is preferred

Work Environment:

The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment.

Physical Demands:

• Sit or stand as needed
• Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day
• Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday
• Proper lifting techniques required
• Ability and comfortability to work in small confined spaces while following proper safety protocol
• Ability to accomplish the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
