Mission of the Outside Sales Producer
To grow the commercial book of business by maximizing the insurance sales process and applying these strategies daily. This includes calling on lost business, unsold quotes and monoline business for account rounding, attending networking activities and building relationships with centers of influence. This role is the face of our agency in the community as well as to agency prospects.

Key Responsibilities of This Role
  1. Sales and Client Engagement:
    1. Achieve a minimum sales target of $10,000 in new business revenue monthly.
    2. Regularly contact lost business and follow up on unsold quotes, particularly those approaching renewal.
    3. Efficiently market all accounts and professionally present proposals.
    4. Prioritize placing business in alignment with the agencys strategic goals.
    5. Actively listen to customers, ask insightful questions, and build strong relationships to understand their needs fully.
  2. Performance and Skill Development:
    1. Maintain a closing ratio of over 50% following the agency's new business sales process.
    2. Respond promptly (within 5 minutes) to new inbound inquiries.
    3. Perform dedicated follow-ups (5-6 calls) on new business after presenting pricing.
    4. Consistently complete all outbound calls weekly, including follow-ups on lost business, and unsold business.
    5. Participate in identifying personal training needs and develop a plan for continuous improvement in technical and sales skills.
  3. Client and Business Management:
    1. Update the agency management system daily with information on prospects, new business, and service calls.
    2. Prequalify insurance prospects for insurability and risk quality.
    3. Handle all aspects of insurance processing including obtaining signed applications, payments, binding coverage, and finalizing all underwriting needs.
    4. Aim for an agency retention goal of 90-95% and round accounts for all new business.
    5. Conduct follow-ups with new business clients 30 days post-sale and at renewal.
    6. Average a minimum of 70% multiline accounts
    7. Actively seek referrals and engage in business selling in line with agency standards.
  4. Networking and Community Involvement:
    1. Identify and participate in a minimum of four community/networking events monthly.
    2. Build and maintain connections with centers of influence, aiming for at least one meeting per week.
    3. Support the marketing and branding team with suggestions & content ideas and engaging in social media activities.
    4. Represent the agency with professionalism and dedication, treating it as your own.
  5. Administrative and Operational Efficiency:
    1. Utilize the management system as directed, ensuring all client interactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
    2. Respond to account manager inquiries within 24 hours [same day if possible].
    3. Continuously strive to improve efficiency and work ethic, utilizing technology tools effectively and maintaining a distraction-free environment.
  6. Attitude and Team Collaboration:
    1. Maintain a positive attitude and foster productive relationships with clients and agency staff.
    2. Be available to connect with prospects outside regular business hours, including evenings and weekends.

Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Director of Sales.

Performance Review
Monthly meeting with the Director of Sales to review pipeline, sales and management system usage.

Salary:
This is a commission based sales position. Will begin with a fixed salary for new sales person, but will decline as you build your book of business.
