The Sales Supervisor will be responsible for implementing strategies for sales growth, leading a sales team to maintain/service current customer relationships and acquire new wholesale/retail accounts through his/her team leadership.


Job Responsibilities:

Leadership: Lead an engaged, promotable, and skilled retail and wholesale sales team that can articulate and live out our mission/core values and can knowledgeably speak to our diverse range of dairy products. Oversee personnel in the Sales Department -communicating job priorities; plan sales activities, monitor work, appraise sales efforts, and review job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; creating a healthy team culture of principle over policy; enforcing procedures and sales protocols. Lead out in weekly sales meetings.


Care: Exemplify a customer care model that reflects The Weaver Family and services our customers with excellence. Lead the team in practical ways to care for our customers and grow our relationships with excellence and commitment.

Plan: Execute on a multi-year sales plan that leverages our existing brands in retail markets, wholesale distribution accounts, and food service. Determine annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products, analyzing trends and results, recommending selling prices/strategies, monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand.


Sell: Develop and manage new and existing relationships with accounts, brokers, distributors and stores. Coach and lead the team to best use their gifts to sell and service our customers.


Record: Oversee your team in maintaining up-to-date records for all open and prospective wholesale accounts including contracts, special pricing, relevant correspondence, contact information, and order history using Hubspot CRM.


Travel: Represent Westfield Egg Farm at food shows/expos via a booth and meeting with key contacts. Spend at least 1 day per week traveling to customers and coaching team members. Work alongside VP of Sales and Key Accounts Specialist to maintain customer relationships.


TPRs: Oversee Ad and Temporary Price Reduction (TPR) schedules.


Price: Work alongside Sales Manager and Key Accounts Specialist to ensure pricing is current and best positioned for overall company success and longevity.


Analysis: Working with the team to continuously analyze sales, merchandising programs, retail trends, competitor activity and pricing, packaging and labelling, signage, and collateral materials to adjust tactics and drive improved performance in retail channel.


Communicate: Attend meetings and submit reports as necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development.

Requirements:

Complete support of and willing adherence to the mission and core values of Westfield Egg Farm .

  • College or university degree preferred
  • 5+ years sales experience within the dairy/refrigerated industry
  • Organized and attention to detail
  • Interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to establish order and systems in a rapidly changing environment
  • Must be a self-starter and effective at time-management
  • 3+ years of team leadership/management experience
  • Experience in distribution, retail, or the food industry
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Excel
  • Experience with a CRM
  • Ability to travel
  • Valid driver’s license
