As an Inventory Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the inventory management process, ensuring that our stock levels are accurate and up-to-date. You will work closely with our inventory team to monitor and maintain stock levels, assist with receiving shipments, and ensure that products are stored and organized correctly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with receiving and unpacking shipments, verifying the accuracy of received items.
  • Update inventory records in the system and ensure stock levels are accurate.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Organize and maintain stockrooms, ensuring products are stored correctly and safely.
  • Communicate with suppliers to resolve any issues related to orders or deliveries.
  • Assist in the preparation of inventory reports for management.
  • Support the inventory team in tracking and managing inventory across multiple locations.
  • Help with the disposal or return of damaged or expired stock.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and operations, to fulfill inventory-related needs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in inventory management or logistics is a plus.
  • Previous experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer skills (e.g., MS Excel).
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50).
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends or overtime during busy periods.
