Information Technology Inventory Analyst

A Sparks Group partner is seeking an IT Inventory Analyst (Level 2) to support the Enterprise Technology Center. The individual will assist staff with hardware selection, procurement, and provisioning, maintain equipment inventory, and respond to service requests.


Employment Term: 6 month Contract to Hire


Schedule: M - F, 7:30 am - 4pm


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the client's staff in selecting smartphones, computers, and peripherals
  • Procure and provision IT equipment for new staff, ensuring timely delivery and accurate configuration
  • Maintain equipment inventory and computer asset data in the client's inventory management systems
  • Respond to service inbox requests and manage the ticket queue, providing timely and effective resolutions to customer inquiries
  • Support the acquisition, storage, and deployment of property and supplies
  • Analyze telemetry data from the client's endpoints to identify opportunities for process improvement and develop enhancements to their current provisioning processes
  • Provide forecasting data to influence center IT equipment budgets
  • Collaborate with the ECP team and business partners to identify new opportunities and grow services/offerings


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in IT operations or a similar role
  • Strong technical understanding of IT equipment, including hardware components, operating systems, and networking concepts
  • Experience with inventory management systems, such as PEMS
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to build positive relationships with internal customers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
