Why Pixelle:

• If you are an electrical journeyman, you will start at the journeyman rate and will receive 75% credit for previous years of experience in the field towards vacation.
• The company will pay for your classes to obtain the Instrumentation requirements for this position or if you have an instrumentation journeyman card, the company will pay for your classes to obtain the Electrical requirements.

• Performs work consistent with the Manufacturing Work System and maintenance best practices.
• Repairs, maintains and installs electrical/instrumentation systems and equipment.
• Locates, diagnoses and repairs electrical/instrumentation malfunctions.
• Inspects and tests electrical/instrumentation equipment as required.
• Disassembles malfunctioning electrical/instrumentation equipment, troubleshoots and tests mechanisms and circuitry for defects.
• Operates programmable controllers, distributive controls and configures controllers for required troubleshooting.
• Assists with plan layouts, running conduit, wiring and tubing new installations.
• Assists with developing and carrying out preventative maintenance programs.
• Fully utilize all skills and abilities to work in a flexible environment.
• Trains apprentices as required.
• Performs general housekeeping duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.
• Complies with all electrical/NFPA70e safe work practices.

On‑The‑Job Requirements:

• Must participate in specialized instruction/training by vendors as required, e.g., Bailey, General Electric schools, etc.
• Must complete required instrumentation related instruction.
• Must comply with company respirator policy.
• Must lift 50-70 lbs. regularly, e.g., conduit, starters, controllers, transmitters, circuit breakers, etc.
• Must do considerable amount of bending, stooping, reaching, turning, and twisting.
• Must climb and work in high places, e.g., 70’ or up to 100’ elevated bridge cranes, overhead lighting, reflectors, etc.
• Must work with radiation-type measurement devices.
• Must operate and use conduit, tubing benders, threader, hand tools, etc.
• Must work with voltages up to and including 13,800 volts, e.g., high voltage switch gear, etc.
• Must read blueprints and schematic diagrams.
• Must be able to use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order tracking, time entry, parts procurement, etc.
• Must configure and service process controls.
• Must be able to work independently, be able to prioritize work, and be a self-starter.
• Must be able to effectively communicate and work in a team environment.
• Must have a telephone and live within a reasonable commuting distance of the mill.
• Must respond to call-ins, work shift work, overtime, Sundays and holidays as required.
• Must be willing to keep current with industry advancements by continuing education and further developing skills.
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Office products and be able to keyboard/type.
• Must perform in a manner that supports our team member expectations.

• Must have completed a State Indentured E/I Apprenticeship Program, or equivalent.
• Must be able to distinguish colors.
• Must have flexibility, reach and body height consistent with job responsibilities.
• Must have a valid Wisconsin driver's license.
• Must not be allergic to chemicals or materials used in a mill environment.

E&I wage rates are as follows:               

• E&I Journeyman - $39.69
• E&I Journeyman + 1 - $40.92               
• E&I Journeyman + 2 - $41.85               
• E&I Journeyman +3 - $43.18

Work schedule:

• E&I Journeyman are currently on a work schedule trial of 4-10hr days
  • Crews are divided into 3 separate groups with 33% working on Friday. A maximum of 2 people working Friday may select Monday as their day off that week. Within the group working Friday, Mondays off will be rotated to give equal opportunities to all in the group for Mondays off. Management has the right to change days off to cover Planned Outage days giving options for other days off during the week.
