Electrician

East Coast Construction Services is seeking candidates for the position Electrician. This position is Jobsite based and travel of varying distances and durations will be required. Our current work is in the state of NC, but can be NC, SC, or VA.
ECCS is experienced in the exacting requirements of electrical construction in the following industries: tech sector facilities, pharmaceutical manufacturing, water/wastewater, wood products and biofuels processing, non-woven textiles, and food-grade manufacturing. ECCS is at home on any Greenfield construction site, brownfield construction site or in an existing industry facility or complex.
The electrician will be responsible for installing electrical equipment and associated appurtenances and materials for industrial or heavy commercial low to medium voltage power installation, lighting installation, and instrumentation/controls installation.
Responsibilities:
- Executive daily project activities as assigned by Job Superintendent, Supervisor or Foreman.
- Relate trade related ideas and methods to field supervision and helpers.
- Must maintain East Coast Construction Services, LLC tool list.
- Must be able to arrive and depart to and from the Jobsite (mode of transportation) on time.
- Pass all criminal record and drug testing requirements of the job.
- Complete on-the-job training as required.
Skills:
- Knowledge and experience in all basic electrical trade skills, underground and above ground work.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of current electrical codes and standards.
- Must be able to read, comprehend, and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and safe practices for the construction industry, especially in the electrical field.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
- Have 3+ years of relevant electrical experience and successfully completed at least journeyman level from an approved apprenticeship program.
- Valid NC driver's license (required).
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Bilingual-Spanish (preferred).
- Currently trained in OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, NFPA 70E preferred.
- Ability to pull and lift materials and equipment up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to travel and stay regionally (NC, SC, VA) on a regular basis.
