ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Build, repair, and maintain tooling to meet specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and correct tooling issues; suggest improvements.
  • Review and interpret blueprints for accurate production.
  • Operate and adjust machinery; sharpen and replace tooling as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and manage documentation.
  • Assist R&D with tooling and fit new tooling packages.
  • Use precision measuring tools and follow EHS procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Specialized vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.

Minimum Skills and Experience:

  • 2-3 years in industrial or mechanical repair.
  • Experience with manual, semi-automated, or automated tools and machines (e.g., lathes, grinders).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Accurate, detail-oriented work with strong math and mechanical abilities.
  • Effective in fast-paced environments and skilled in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to establish relationships, influence change, and make quick decisions.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is carried out in a controlled, agreeable production environment.
  • Oil, coolant and noise (90db) present. Hearing protection is required.
  • Technician is subject to lifting up to 50 lbs.
