We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for the position of Estimator at Siema. We are looking for a detail-oriented and numbers-savvy individual who is passionate about contributing to the success of our projects from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the solicitation process and create RFQs for projects.
  • Perform project takeoffs and update the HeavyBid vendor database.
  • Participate in preconstruction meetings with the project team.
  • Prepare estimates for materials, equipment, and labor.
  • Solicit quotes from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Review project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work.
  • Provide value engineering options and ensure estimates are accurate.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and jobsite visits.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Viewpoint, P6, HeavyBid, and Trimble Business Center.
  • Relevant experience or qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or estimating.
  • Proven experience in commercial concrete, site work, and heavy highway projects.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clear driving record.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial concrete, site work, and heavy highway projects.
