Diesel Mechanic for Heavy Highway Construction

What We Require

  • Five (5) years of diesel mechanic experience; Diesel mechanic degree preferred. Heavy Machinery such as excavators and dozers (CAT/Kabota), etc. 
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Must possess a safe and clean driving record.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
  • Understand computer diagnostics on equipment and trucks to make repairs.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
  • Test drive trucks and overhaul equipment to diagnose malfunctions and ensure operating efficiency.
  • Using micrometers and gauges, inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to examine parts for damage or excessive wear; replace parts as needed.
  • Replace defective engines or subassemblies, such as transmissions.
  • Use of computer/laptop
  • Ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Possess a brake certification.
  • Strong work ethic
