Job Description:

ANGARAI's Civil Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects adhere to industry standards, codes, and regulations. Your expertise and keen eye for detail will be instrumental in maintaining the quality and safety of our projects.

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

The roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Construction Inspections: Conduct regular on-site inspections to monitor construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Quality Assurance: Verify the quality of materials and workmanship and identify any deviations from project requirements. Document and report findings to project stakeholders.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure that all construction activities adhere to local, state, and federal building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, including detailed reports, photographs, and other relevant documentation. Provide timely updates to project management and stakeholders.
  • Safety Oversight: Monitor and enforce safety protocols and practices on the construction site to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns that may arise during construction.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve construction-related issues, providing recommendations for corrective actions as necessary.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track and report on the progress of construction activities, highlighting any delays or deviations from the project schedule.
  • Compliance Audits: Conduct periodic compliance audits to ensure that contractors and subcontractors are meeting contractual obligations and quality standards.

Minimum Qualification and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Current registration as a professional engineer/architect in the State of Maryland.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction inspection or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, materials, and construction techniques.
  • Proficient in using construction inspection tools and software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or relevant industry certifications (preferred).
