Santa Clara, United States Halo Industries, Inc. Full time
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Company

Halo Industries has invented a technology to replace a decades-old semiconductor material slicing process that wastes billions of dollars annually. Halo’s laser-based technology eliminates this waste, delivering improvements in both material cost and performance, while enabling manufacturing advancements in a diverse set of high-growth applications markets, including the automotive, grid infrastructure, telecommunications and power electronics sectors.

Halo originally spun out of Stanford University in 2014, acquiring a significant A round of VC funding in 2020 following the successful demonstration of the company’s precision material slicing equipment.

Halo is now planning its volume manufacturing operations and building a passionate team to meet its next milestone of deploying the company’s first fully integrated production line. Halo Industries is well-funded, engaged with strategic customers, and staged to achieve rapid operational, revenue, and valuation growth.

The Opportunity

As Halo Industries transitions from pilot production to full-scale production, we seek an accomplished Senior Technical Program Manager to spearhead the development and deployment of our cutting-edge material slicing production tooling. This pivotal role offers the chance to shape and implement project management methodologies, driving Halo towards its next milestone of deploying the company’s first fully integrated production line. With ample funding, strategic partnerships, and a dynamic team, Halo is primed for rapid growth in operational efficiency, revenue, and market valuation.

Role and Responsibilities:

The Senior Technical Program Manager will lead the development and deployment of Halo Industries’ material slicing production tooling, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives and milestones. Responsibilities include:

  • Translate Strategic Objectives into Actionable Plans:
    • Utilize the company's strategic roadmap to develop comprehensive program plans
    • Establish program organization and allocate resources effectively
    • Define clear timelines, budgets, milestones, and deliverables
  • Actively Manage Program Cross-department Execution:
    • Allocate tasks efficiently, fostering effective communication within the program team
    • Proactively identify and address potential bottlenecks, devising contingency plans to maintain program timelines
    • Monitor progress against plans and budgets, adapting strategies as needed on a weekly or daily basis
    • Chair program and project meetings to ensure operational excellence, fostering collaboration across functional teams
    • Manage system inter-dependencies and prioritize tasks between program
    • Escalate issues promptly as required

Requirements

Preferred Education & Experience:

We are looking for candidates who have a strong educational background and relevant experience. While a Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred, we value practical knowledge and expertise just as much. So, if you have at least 8 years of experience in engineering, with a solid track record of 3 years in technical program/project management within the capital equipment or related industries, you could be a great fit for this position.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, capable of building consensus among diverse stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication abilities, with a proven track record of bridging gaps between technical and non-technical teams
  • Solid technical background, demonstrating a content-driven approach to project management
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on achieving results and driving profitability
  • Process-oriented with excellent planning skills, capable of setting clear goals and maintaining consistency in approach
  • Strategic thinker with a knack for driving change and transformation while remaining hands-on and results-oriented
  • Mature and independent, possessing the gravitas to garner immediate acceptance within the organization
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a bias for speed and execution

Bonus:

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP)
