The Data Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting the Marketing – Call Center regulatory compliance functions related to call center and lead generation compliance. The Compliance Specialist will maintain an effective regulatory compliance program by establishing compliance standards, raising awareness of compliance issues, implementing controls to monitor and prevent compliance deficiencies. Prior experience working in a call center is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Stay up to date with all current call center and lead generation rules and regulations. Be aware of pending legislation and work with Marketing and IT to prepare for upcoming changes.
- Review new lead generation partners to ensure TCPA compliance before going live.
- Regularly review partner websites and complete webforms to verify our company's DBA in the TCPA opt-in section.
- Conduct random daily/weekly audits to verify consumer information matches received leads.
- Manage and maintain our TCPA compliance lead generation software.
- Additional tasks as required for maintaining data compliance.
- This individual will be responsible for analyzing our call center and lead generation practices for compliance and making recommendations to ensure we remain in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Identify risk and make recommendations to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage large scale compliance projects.
- Remain current on industry standards and new laws and regulations.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s lead generation policies
- Monitor client service activities to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide training to client service staff on compliance matters.
- Act as a liaison between marketing and legal counsel when necessary.
- Proven experience in data compliance and lead management.
- The ideal candidate for this role will have a 2-year degree in Business, Law, or a related field or paralegal certificate.
- A minimum of three years of related experience in the field of audit, compliance, or risk management; strong analytical skills; and the ability to quickly identify risk and make sound recommendations
- They must also be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills
- They should also have experience in managing large scale compliance projects and be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong analytical and technical skills in using data analytics to review audit results and data and understand “root causes” of compliance deficiencies and effectiveness of controls;
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic constantly changing environment;
- Strong knowledge of MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint Word; and legal/compliance research tools.

- Work with marketing and the call center to ensure we are following current regulations for outbound dialing, inbound calls and lead generation regulations.
- Review new lead generation partners landing pages to ensure TCPA compliance before going live.
- Ensure our company or are dealers are listed for TCPA as required with laws.
- Audit existing partners to ensure compliance with all tcpa regulations.
- Manage and maintain leadid compliance software to ensure incoming and outgoing leads have required TCPA language.
