  • Buys, processes, sorts scrap to specifications; assures quality of purchased materials.
  • Operates the non-ferrous scale and kiosk.
  • Ensures scrap is sorted & processed according to safety and customer requirements
  • Inspects inbound and outbound material
  • Utilizes all equipment including forklifts, baler and can densifier as necessary
  • Maintains relationships with customers; resolves customer issues.
  • Assist with supervising non-ferrous yard staff; help train new employees
  • Completes any production and/or inventory reports as necessary
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Wears all necessary PPE when working in the yard. Follows company safety standards at all times. Failure to follow safety standards, may result in loss of position.

High school diploma or GED required. Prior experience operating machinery, including forklifts, required. Must be able to lift a minimum of 30-50 lbs and 100+lbs on 2-person lift.

Some mathematical aptitude necessary. Must have working knowledge of computer programs (i.e. Word, Excel) and other office equipment. Ability to develop team environment with employees. Must be able to effectively interact with customers and vendors.

Job Type: Full-time
