Our client, a mid-size law firm in Burlington County, NJ, is seeking a Part-Time Estate Administration Accounting Paralegal to join their Estates practice. This position will work closely with experienced Attorneys and provide support in estate administration and tax preparation. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in estate administration.


This is a part-time role of approximately 20 hours/week.


Responsibilities

  • All phases of estate and trust administration including Probate Proceedings

  • Preparation and maintenance of fiduciary accountings

  • Maintain electronic and physical filing for estates and estate planning documents

  • Prep of various related tax returns: Federal Estate(form 706 and Fiduciary Income Tax-1041), NJ Inheritance Tax, PA Inventories and Inheritance Tax

  • Ongoing interaction with clients to obtain necessary information to properly administer estates

  • Ability to comprehend and analyze decedent’s will, trust and other relevant estate planning documents

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of estate administration and tax preparation experience

  • Paralegal Certification or Degree preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word

  • iManage experience preferred

  • Familiarity with One Source FPS/Ultra Tax preferred

  • Familiarity with 990 – Private Foundation and 5227 Split Interest Charitable Trust Tax returns preferred

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues
