We are hiring an Environmental Services Technician to our growing team The Environmental Services Technician The Environmental Services Technician will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all areas within their region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes the floors
- Sometimes using ladders, dust and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dust/polishes light fixtures
- Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas. May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
- May also sweep sidewalks
- Empty trash
- Clean and stock restrooms
- Follow established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies at all times
- Inspects storage rooms, utility, and janitorial closet, etc., for upkeep and supply control
- Requisitions all supplies and equipment and maintains adequate inventory levels to provide a clean, safe and comfortable environment
- Coordinates repair needs
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Performs other job duties and projects as directed
Key Experience and Education Needed:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Self motivated
- Good communication skills
- Ability stay on schedule
- Problem Solving/Analysis
- Results Driven
- Ability to work as a team
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Ability to interact with staff in a professional manner
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize work- and work-related responsibilities
- Ability to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create a safe and healthy relationship with clients served
