Job Summary

At Addiction Recovery Care, we are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the HR department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate employment records, tracking critical employee details, and responding to requests for information from internal and external sources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter and maintain accurate employment records using HRMS software.
  • Record data for each employee, including demographics, rates of pay, absences, benefit elections, and supervisory reports.
  • Maintain personnel documentation for employee demographic and information changes.
  • Field inquiries from various sources for employment verification, ensuring proper authority and confidentiality.
  • Maintain and update HR documents, such as organizational charts and performance evaluation forms.
  • Work with the Benefits Manager to assist with benefit administration and act as a backup for benefit-related tasks.
  • Analyze employment-related data and prepare required reports as directed by the VP of HR.
  • Provide customer service by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Examine Paycom and employee files to answer inquiries and provide information to supervisors.
  • Design and produce effective HR-related procedural documents as directed by the VP of HR.
  • File documents and reports in employee personnel files, maintaining confidentiality and physical security standards.
  • Oversee the Company Driver Program and Zendesk Ticketing System.
  • Maintain a respectful relationship with employees, interns, and persons served/clients.
  • Protect the privacy of all staff and persons served/client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care's privacy policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Substance abuse experience preferred.
  • Appropriate State and Federal Clearances.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery-driven service systems.
  • Knowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health, economic security, employment, positive social and family interdependence, and positive cultural identity.
  • Knowledge of the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact of alcohol and other drugs on the individual and family.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction.
  • Knowledge of the law's rules and requirements of the Human Resources department.
  • Attention to detail and organization are essential.
  • Ability to interact with staff in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work- and work-related responsibilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crisis situations in a calm and supportive manner.
  • Ability to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create a safe and healthy relationship with clients served.
