Due to our continued growth and success, we are currently seeking a Supplier Quality Manager to join our team.


Position Overview:

This position develops, manages, and continually improves the supplier quality function. The supplier quality function encompasses but is not limited to supplier development activities, supplier audits, and supplier improvement opportunities. Additionally, the supplier quality manager assumes corporate responsibilities related to but not limited to management review, document control, and performing assigned internal audits.


Essential Job Functions:

Oversees the supplier quality function:

  • Manages the approved supplier list (process) in coordination with the sales and purchasing functions.
  • Establishes specifications for the company website for guiding, informing, and mentoring the supply base.
  • Coordinates with the quality program manager, sales personnel, and purchasing personnel to provide terms and conditions for proper flow down.
  • Facilitates corrective actions within the supply base.
  • Oversees nonconforming product activities for received products.
  • Performs supplier desktop, and when needed, on site audits.
  • Recommends/participates in supplier continuous improvement activities.
  • Administers process development within the document control system.

Corporate entity:

  • Assists in the determination of key suppliers in coordination with sales and purchasing.
  • Maintains supplier scorecards for key suppliers and reports in quarterly management reviews.
  • Performs internal audits, when necessary.
  • Active engagement in continuous improvement opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100D.
  • Experience with measurement and test equipment.
  • Proficiency with engineering drawing interpretation.
  • Knowledge of special processes and the ISO/NADCAP requirements for special processes.
  • Skilled with quality system development.
  • Practiced in leadership and management of human resources to include conflict management.
  • Able to produce and analyze metrics.
  • Excellent communication/collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge and use of Office365 products.
  • College degree preferred.

Other Skills/Abilities:

  • Working familiarity with MS Office Products required.
  • Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool required.
