Position Summary

We achieve this through creating and refining processes and procedures that ensure timely and accurate results delivered with integrity.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) of record.
  • Process payrolls for MR Williams and related companies per payroll SOP.
  • Process all garnishments.
  • Ensure that relevant tax rates are maintained and accurate within HRIS.
  • Compile payroll data such as garnishments, insurance, 401(k) deductions, and other accruals.
  • Ensure MRW leadership knows and follows payroll procedures for their given area.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
  • Respond to and resolve any payroll inquiries by external and internal stakeholders.
  • Enforces payroll policies.
  • Prepare employee verifications and similar reports.
  • Distribute W2s in a timely manner.
  • Compile various journal entries and account reconciliations and provide General Ledger support.
  • Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, tax deductions, etc.) for management.
  • Pull internal management reports from Paylocity.
  • Assist with 401K, WC, FMLA, and ADA inquiries, paperwork, and tracking.
  • Assisted in benefits enrollment and answered basic questions about benefits.
  • Verifies the calculation of the monthly premiums for all group insurance policies and maintains statistical data relative to premiums, claims, and costs. Resolves administration problems with the carrier representatives.
  • Ensures that digital interfaces with HRIS and vendor partners are maintained and accurate.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties at any time.


Requirements:

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

  • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in payroll management. Experience with Paylocity preferred.
  • Strong customer/employee orientation.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem analysis and resolution.
  • Expert level skills using MS Office software products (MS Word, Excel)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate with employees, clients, and co-workers clearly and effectively in an effective manner via phone, Teams, and email to establish/maintain professional business relationships.
