Bobcat of Atlanta - Norcross is looking to add an Experienced Diesel Mechanic. This role will be responsible for providing quality repair services on Bobcat equipment in order to meet customer needs in a responsive, friendly, educated, and timely manner. This includes performing basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned construction equipment. The technician will also be responsible for identifying problems with mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical systems and executing effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality repair services on construction equipment in order to meet customer needs in a responsive, friendly, educated, and timely manner
- Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned construction equipment
- Identifies problems with mechanical, hydraulic, diesel & electrical systems and executes solutions
- Participates in Service Training programs for the development of skills and knowledge
- Document all repairs and testing for customer and warranty repairs
- Any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and or management of the company.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 2 year technical school graduate preferred.
- 1-year fleet or dealership experience in a diesel shop is required; 3-5 years preferred.
- Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer and service team.
- Must have an inventory of hand tools to facilitate the assigned repairs
- Heavy equipment and or agricultural experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment.
- Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, and crawl
- Consistently exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
