Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Ryder. As a Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
  • Coordinate work schedules with customers and ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates.
  • Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification, post-secondary degree, or technical certifications preferred.
  • Basic tools required.
  • Requires demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred.
  • Non-Commercial Driver License CLASS E, preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred.
  • Other State driver's license, as required.
  • Two (2) years or more experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy-duty and medium-duty equipment.
