Job Overview

Knight Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead/Master Fleet Diesel Mechanic-Technician to join our team in Atlanta. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on heavy trucks and trailers, as well as providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain heavy trucks and trailers, including performing preventative maintenance and diagnosing electrical and HVAC issues.
  • Perform minor to complex repairs on all types of equipment, including tires and brakes.
  • Test drive equipment as needed, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and mechanics to ensure efficient and effective repairs.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or technician.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or trade school diploma a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to read and understand repair manuals.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.

Work Environment

Our shop hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-5:00 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break. We offer a stable and maturing industry with opportunities for growth and development.
