What will you do as an Assistant Director of Nursing

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department, in accordance with company policy and all appropriate regulations.
  • Participate in facility surveys/inspections from regulatory agencies as requested by the administrator or director of nursing.
  • Work with the QA Nurse to aide in the development, maintenance, and implementation of the facility quality assurance program for the nursing department.
  • Assist with developing, implementing and periodically updating resident written discharge plans.
  • Performance of administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc., as necessary throughout the day.

What you need as an Assistant Director of Nursing

  • Licensed as an RN
  • Previous experience in a long term care facility
  • Previous nurse supervisor experience
