Overview

Senior Readiness SME shall support and augment current operations to ensure unit readiness of assigned Cyber, ISR and Information Warfare (IW) forces. Perform as a technical SME to compile and analyze readiness data from Joint Cyberspace Command and Control (JCC2) Cyber Ops, Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS), and Deliberate & Crisis Action Planning & Execution Segments (DCAPES). The Senior Readiness SME reviews, monitors, analyzes, assesses, and reports resource, capability, and Unit Type Code (UTC) readiness for nine subordinate wings, one center, and the Cyber Mission Force (CMF). Support will enable effective deployment and employment of Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR), Electromagnetic Warfare (EW), Cyber Operations, and Information Operations (IO) capabilities across the range of military operations and in support of all domains.


This is a full-time on-site position located at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas. JST offers a full benefit package, a collaborative work environment and strong company culture. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply.


Senior Readiness SME Responsibilities

  • Review, monitor, analyze, assess, and report the readiness of assigned forces to accomplish assigned missions
  • Identify readiness gaps and shortfalls and provide detailed recommendations for corrective actions or process improvements
  • Utilize the appropriate readiness systems/databases to monitor, review, and report unit readiness
  • Assess Force Presentation to ensure forces are postured appropriately, accounting for deployable, deployed in-place and distributed operations; analyze force presentation, sourcing, and generation activities
  • Ensure Mission Essential Tasks (METs) are appropriately assigned and associated Designed Operational Capability (DOC) statements are accurate and current
  • Coordinate across government staffs to provide oversight and recommendations for subordinate Unit Type Code (UTC) development and posturing activities
  • Serve as SME for processes and products relating to Global Force Management (GFM) (e.g., GFM Implementation Guidance (GFMIG), GFM Allocation Plan (GFMAP)).
  • Participate in and, if required, organize, and facilitate readiness working groups, operational planning teams, and integrated planning teams
  • Draft and prepare products (e.g., talking papers, bullet background papers, items of interest, briefing charts, etc.) to update leadership/staff on readiness, force presentation/generation and GFM
  • Review plans, policy, orders, etc. and provide inputs and recommendations
  • Assist leadership/staff and respond to requests for information (RFI) as needed

Senior Readiness SME Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 12 years or more of related experience
  • Experience with Global Force Management (GFM)
  • Expertise in Cyber Operations or ISR mission areas and capabilities
  • At least 4 years of experience utilizing Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) and Deliberate & Crisis Action Planning & Execution Segments (DCAPES).
  • At least 1 year of experience with Joint Cyber Command and Control (JCC2)
  • Familiarization with Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) and Information Operations (IO)
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Expert Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Must be very organized
  • Highly motivated
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time
  • Occasional overtime and travel may be required

Required Clearances and Screenings

  • MUST have an active TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • MUST be able to successfully pass a drug screen and background check
