yard and join our team to contribute to our continued success.
Job Description:
As an Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in the efficient
operation of our distribution yard and help walk in customers. This hybrid
position involves both physical tasks in the yard and some administrative
duties in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
Yard Duties:
- Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks and move materials around the
yard.
- Ensure the safe and efficient handling of bricks and related materials.
- Maintain an organized and clean yard.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed.
Office Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service, both in person and over the phone.
- Process orders and shipping documents.
- Manage inventory records and ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate with the sales team to fulfill customer orders.
- Assist with scheduling and logistics for deliveries and pickups.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating a forklift; certification is a plus.- CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
