Franklin Sports, Inc. is looking to hire a passionate, high-energy individual to support our Memphis Operations.

What you will do: This role requires a detailed person to ensure all items are handled in a timely manner and is responsible for coordinating and supporting all Outbound clerical processes to support a 500,000+ square foot distribution center. This position needs to work closely with various departments both internal and at a corporate level, as required.

We are looking to hire a proactive individual, with previous experience in a large big box distribution warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is expected to work in a team office environment, maintain strict attention to detail and process accuracy, and should be familiar with best practices regarding outbound shipping and carriers.

The position is an on-site position, located at our Distribution Center in Memphis, TN and will report to the Customer Order Flow Manager.

IN MORE DETAIL, YOU WILL:

  • Interacts daily with outbound carriers – makes calls for routing and carrier pickup of outbound shipments
  • Responsible for assigned incoming customer order preparation, printing, and tracking
  • Upon receipt of orders, updates and edits pick list information in AS400 and, when applicable, on the customer’s website
  • Prepares orders by ship date, destination, and purchase order type. Evaluates stock issues and then groups orders logically to disperse to Order Picking Department
  • Analyzes purchase orders to obtain correct routing then books shipments; monitors all facets of the shipping process
  • Batches orders, prints picking tickets, prints labels and matches with orders.
  • Responsible for invoicing all outbound shipments and carrier charges
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime hours as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned


WHO YOU ARE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One (1) to three (3) years of related experience strongly preferred

WHAT YOU HAVE DONE:

  • Possesses excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail, and accurate data entry and validation
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong computer experience, including Excel, Word and internet usage
  • General outbound carrier knowledge of LTL, TL, and small parcel, services, including BOL creation is preferred
  • Understanding of following safety protocols and work in a safe manner
  • Ability to work cross functionally with internal and external parties at all levels


Level of Responsibility:

Interact regularly and follow up with internal and external parties based on direction of management, presents information for decision making to manager, and the requires ability to independently follow up on pending items and to manage their own daily tasks and projects as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not supervise employees.
