Medical Receptionist

Job Description- Check patients in/out
- Enter patient demographics accurately in PMS system.
- Scan documents into the computer.
- Verify insurance and co-pay amounts.
- Submit prior authorizations for certain procedures.
- Make new and follow up appointments.
- Sell products and services to patients.
- Answer telephone professionally and courteously
- Retrieve detailed messages.
- Collect co-pays and balances from patients.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Team player, able to follow instructions.
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Attention to detail with strong ability to multi-task.
- Strong computer, typing and technology skills.
- Must be dependable and flexible during clinic hours.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Reliable and prompt.
- Reliable source of transportation.
- Computer skills and electronic medical records (EMR) experience preferred.
- Must like to multi-task and be a team player
Job type:
- Full-time Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
Experience:
- Strong customer service experience required.
- Medical administration experience preferred.
- Dermatology medical experience preferred.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Pay:
- Pay starts at $19.00 - $22.00 per hour and increases with years of experience.
