Role: Senior Digital Copywriter

Location: Wilmington, DE

The LYCRA Company is seeking a Senior Digital Copywriter responsible for crafting compelling and engaging English content for various digital marketing platforms, including websites, marketplace, and email campaigns. This position reports to the Digital Content & Engagement Senior Manager, based in Geneva, Switzerland

Role:

Your primary goal will be to create engaging and informative content that highlights The LYCRA Company’s brands, products and services, and industry expertise. You will be crucial in creating blog posts, emails, white papers, and case studies that resonate with our diversity of target audiences, technical and non-technical, from consumers to textile professionals (fabric mills and brands & retailers). You will produce content that drives engagement and supports our marketing and communication objectives. You will interview clients, textile experts, internal members, and translate their insights into short and long-form content. You must be self-directed and have initiative and critical thinking skills with the ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously.

Job Summary:

  • Content Creation: Write on-brand, clear, concise, and persuasive copy for digital channels, including website pages, blog posts, customer interviews, web forms, white papers, email newsletters, and user guides, serving the entire customer journey, from awareness to purchase and post-sales.
  • SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices in content creation to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic.
  • Audience Research: Conduct research to understand our target audience, their preferences, behaviors, and pain points. Use insights and best knowledge to tailor content that meets their needs and interests.
  • Content Strategy: Collaborate with the UX (User eXperience) and content team to enrich the content strategies that align with our brand voice, messaging, and marketing objectives.
  • Content Optimization: Collaborate with Business Intelligence Analytics Senior Manager to get insights on content performance metrics and target audiences and behaviors.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with UX designer, webmaster, brand/com teams and commercial colleagues across the organization to ensure content is visually appealing, cohesive, and aligned with overall content strategy and campaign goals, to educate our audience, establish industry leadership and boost brand engagement.
  • Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit content to ensure accuracy, clarity, grammar, and adherence to brand guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a senior digital copywriter or content creator across various formats, including short-form (website pages, blog, emails) or long-form (product page, interviews, white papers)
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with impeccable attention to detail.
  • English-native as a must. Ability to write and speak English on a level that allows you to produce high-quality - professional standard copywriting and communications.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience in optimizing content for search engines.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, Drupal as content management system (CMS).
  • Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts.
  • Understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Portfolio showcasing previous digital copywriting work and demonstrating a range of writing styles and tones.
  • Webmastering skills and other digital qualifications are welcome
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design tools is a plus.
  • Experience in the B2B industry is a plus
