Job Summary: The Financial Planning Manager will oversee the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, ensuring the organization's financial health through effective budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. This role involves managing a team of financial analysts, collaborating with senior leadership, and providing insights to support long-term business objectives. The Financial Planning Manager will be responsible for developing financial models, monitoring key financial metrics, and guiding the financial planning process.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure high-quality work.
  • Oversee the development and management of annual budgets, long-term forecasts, and financial models.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze financial performance, including variances, trends, and key metrics, to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including budget-to-actual analysis, forecasts, and strategic plans.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial planning processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Monitor industry trends, economic developments, and emerging best practices to ensure the organization's financial planning remains robust and competitive.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA, CFA, or CPA certification is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to mentor and develop talent.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting tools, including Excel and financial software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a strategic mindset.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to senior management.
  • Proven experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing strategic decisions.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, economic factors, and best practices in financial planning and analysis.
