Objective

As the HR Manager you will play a crucial role in shaping our company culture, managing human resource operations, and ensuring compliance with regulations specific to the cannabis industry. You will work closely with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that align with our business objectives and foster a productive and engaged workforce.

In this role you will:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and point of contact for employees on HR-related matters.
  • Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a timely and confidential manner.
  • Promote a positive work environment and company culture through effective communication and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Work closely with HR Leadership on the business' needs and support them by driving the implementation of compensation programs, benefits, talent management/acquisition and other needed programs.
  • Work with HR Leadership to deliver communications, training and change management activities to our internal business partners.
  • Manage day-to-day associate relations issues including investigations, conflict resolution and litigation/EEOC support.
  • Offer advice and counsel to leaders on policies and performance management best practices.
  • Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Coordinate training sessions on topics such as safety protocols, compliance requirements, and job-specific competencies.
  • Drive a positive culture that creates an inspiring associate experience.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements, grievance procedures, and union negotiations.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources Management.
  • Human Resources Generalist experience in a fast-paced environment preferably a supply chain/manufacturing or cannabis environment.
  • Demonstrated strong judgment and proven ability to diagnose issues, drawing on both professional experience and strategic thinking skills to drive appropriate solutions with self-initiative.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to work well across different functions in order to develop and integrate HR and business strategies.
  • Intellectual curiosity with innate desire to learn how things work.
  • Energized by high change environments and is comfortable with ambiguity.
  • A high level of ownership, accountability, and sense of urgency.
  • Proven, creative problem solver with both breadth and depth of experience across the HR function.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Organizational skills with ability to multitask.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office suite, Google, Workday, etc.)
  • Ability to travel as needed, which includes overnight travel, around 40% of the time.
