Position Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented QA Business Analyst/Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both quality assurance and business analysis, with a keen ability to document, test, and validate web applications while also gathering and managing requirements throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans to validate all changes before they are deployed to production environments.
  • Ensure test plans cover a comprehensive range of scenarios, including functionality, performance, security, and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and other team members to identify, document, and resolve defects discovered during testing.
  • Retest resolved issues to ensure the effectiveness of fixes and prevent regression.
  • Conduct thorough requirements elicitation through various techniques, including interviews, workshops, surveys, and document analysis.
  • Identify, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements, ensuring that they align with the overall goals of the project.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Requirements Management Plan, outlining the process for capturing, validating, and managing requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create and update a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure all requirements are tracked and met during the development process.
  • Collaborate with development teams to build applications from the ground up, ensuring they meet specified requirements and business objectives.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing applications, ensuring they remain functional, secure, and up-to-date with the latest standards and technologies.
  • Participate in design reviews, providing feedback on user interface design, system architecture, and other key elements to ensure they meet business need.
  • Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all QA and BA activities, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
  • Document workflows, testing methodologies, and requirements management processes to serve as a reference for the team and future projects.
  • Create user manuals, training materials, and other documentation to support end-users in understanding and utilizing the developed applications effectively.
  • Conduct rigorous testing of web applications to ensure compliance with ADA Section 508 standards.
  • Utilize both automated tools and manual testing techniques to evaluate web pages for accessibility issues.
  • Document and report any non-compliant elements, and work with the Project Manager (PM) to ensure these issues are tracked in the 508 roadmap documents for future remediation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field is required.
  • Proven experience working within the SDLC, with a strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience in conducting requirements elicitation, managing requirements, and ensuring they are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Extensive experience with ADA Section 508 compliance testing and documentation.
  • Proficient in QA and testing tools, such as Selenium, JIRA, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of web development technologies and compliance standards, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and accessibility standards.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $85,000 to $105,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The target salary for this role is $95,000 per year. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
