Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounting Department at Tower Products Incorporated is seeking an entry level Accounts Payable Specialist to assist with the functions and tasks of recording expenses and processing vendor payments. This position handles a high volume of invoice verification and data entry, while working closely with the department’s Team Lead and Financial Analyst to ensure accuracy and timely payments.
Key responsibilities:
- Review and verify vendor invoices through an intelligent data capture system for paperless processing
- Reconcile vendor statements and ensure all payable balances are properly accounted for in the system
- Learn and analyze the workflow processes in which all invoices are recorded and segregated based on their payment type
- Maintain proper internal control measures as it pertains to the disbursements of check, EFT, and credit card payments.
- Assist with the vendor set up process, the collections of W-9 forms and the distributions of IRS 1099 forms
- Assist with audit preparations and requests as they arise.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- 2+ year’s experience
- strong computer skills – EXCEL a must
- Critical thinking/problem solving skills

Position Type/Hours:
EOE
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: Mon – Fri , 8:30am - 5pm
Starting Pay: $18 - $20 hour
