Job DescriptionJob Description

The Accounting Department at Tower Products Incorporated is seeking an entry level Accounts Payable Specialist I who detail oriented and is a hard-worker with a background in Accounting and/or Data Entry. The primary purpose of this position is to consistently support the tasks and functions of the Accounts Receivable Department by building customer relationships and effectively working with them to receive payment in a timely manner. The responsibilities of this role will be trained and supervised by the Accounts Receivable Manager, Accounting Manager as well as the VP of Finance.


Key responsibilities:

  • Accurately apply customer payments to invoices/orders
  • Process accounts and incoming payments (Check, EFT, WT, PayPal, Credit Card) in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Creating and issuing customer refunds and credits.
  • Provide support to the credit card processing and verification specialist.
  • Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues.
  • Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data.
  • Communicate effectively with outside interests (customer, references, etc)
  • Communicate effectively with inside customer service/sales agents
  • Make phone calls and send emails to collect money from customers
  • Faxing and emailing customer receipts

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: Mon – Fri , 8:30am - 5pm

Starting Pay: $18 - $20 hour
