Intro of the position:

As the Content Studio Manager at Americanflat, you will be leading our creative team and overseeing the production of all visual and written content for our online home decor company. This role is critical in ensuring that all creative output aligns with our brand identity and supports our marketing and e-commerce initiatives. The ideal candidate will manage a team of graphic designers, e-commerce photo designers, videographers, copywriters, and the social media team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a diverse team of graphic designers, e-commerce photo designers, videographers, copywriters, and social media professionals.
    • Oversee the workflow, ensuring timely delivery of all content projects. Provide mentorship and guidance, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Content Strategy Development: develop and implement content strategies for marketing campaigns, the direct-to-consumer website, and omnichannel experiences.
    • Ensure all content is on-brand, trend-forward, and cohesive with the overall brand identity. Work closely with the Creative Director to align content with product design and marketing goals.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of quality and consistency across all visual and written content. Review and approve all creative content before publication.
    • Incorporate feedback from the Creative Director and other stakeholders to refine and enhance content quality.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration Collaborate with product designers and artists to ensure cohesive integration of visual content.
    • Coordinate with marketing and e-commerce teams to support promotional efforts and improve the customer experience. Facilitate effective communication between the content studio team and other departments to ensure project alignment.
  • Brand Guideline Management: Adhere to existing brand guidelines while creating and updating new guidelines based on market trends.
    • Communicate updated brand guidelines to the content studio team and the wider company. Maintain and update the brand guidelines deck and source files to ensure consistency across all content.
  • Project Oversight and Execution Oversee the planning, production, and delivery of all content projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget.
    • Utilize project management tools to streamline workflows and improve productivity. Regularly assess content performance metrics to inform future content strategies and make data-driven decisions.


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in content creation and team management, preferably in the home decor or related industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and content management systems.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with current trends in home decor, design, and social media.
  • Portfolio: A portfolio website or PDF that clearly demonstrates your expertise in the areas outlined in this job description. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
