Job Summary:

The Analytics team is responsible for the reporting and analytics framework of Yami. This position will directly interact with various business units to better understand reporting needs, as well as deliver reporting, dashboards, and analysis.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Interpret high level business goals, translate them to metrics and trackable data sets that can be used to inform business performance

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain information for ad hoc and routine reporting and business analysis needs

  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis that provides meaningful insights and synthesized recommendations to support informed decision-making

  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to strengthen Yami’s data platform; deeply understand business requirements and data users’ needs

  • Develop dashboards that provide a clear view of the business performance and results; visually translate complex data into actionable insights

  • Present data-related information succinctly and effectively to key stakeholders and leadership team

  • Monitor published information regularly and follow up when corrective action is necessary in order to ensure reporting accuracy and integrity

  • Understand basic Finance and Accounting


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Business Analyst, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field is required; combination of education plus equivalent work experience is acceptable

  • Full-time onsite in Brea office

  • Strong background and experience in product management will be preferred.

  • Experience developing reports and dashboards utilizing visualization tools (e.g. Tableau is preferred)

  • Understands data architecture within relational database environment

  • Ability to extract, cleanse, and validate data using mySQL

  • Proficiency writing mySQL script is preferred

  • Knowledge of ETL tools, and Python is highly preferred

  • Highly proficient in Excel, including the ability to use PivotTable

  • Ability to perform analysis with data supported conclusions

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work, as well as meet tight deadlines

  • Enthusiastic about developing a data-driven culture while supporting other teams

  • Bilingual English and Chinese is required
