Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Contracts Manager with extensive experience in institutional multifamily real estate and property management. The successful candidate will support our team in all aspects of real estate transactions, property management, and related legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation, review, and management of real estate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, leases, and closing documents.
  • Conduct due diligence for property acquisitions, including title and survey reviews, zoning analyses, and environmental assessments.
  • Support property management operations by preparing and maintaining property management agreements, tenant correspondence, and compliance documents.

  • Coordinate and manage closings for multifamily real estate transactions, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Research and analyze legal issues related to real estate and property management, providing summaries and recommendations to the legal team.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date files and records for all real estate and property management matters.
  • Liaise with external counsel, title companies, and other third parties involved in real estate transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of litigation related to property management, including tenant disputes and enforcement of lease terms.
  • Stay current on relevant laws and regulations affecting institutional multifamily real estate and property management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Paralegal certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on institutional multifamily real estate and property management.

  • Comprehensive understanding of real estate transaction processes, property management practices, and relevant legal principles.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
