Member Service Representative
Position Summary: The basic function of a Member Service Representative (MSR) position is to provide teller, new account and loan assistance to our members. The MSR will provide information and member support concerning the credit union and its products and services to credit union members while ensuring highest quality of service. The position is responsible for recommending credit union products as appropriate to members.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Function as a teller, performing all related duties as needed.
- Balances accurately within teller balancing standards daily.
- Open new accounts within credit union parameters.
- Meet or exceed monthly branch goals for loan, new accounts and cross-sell referrals.
- Identify fraudulent activity to prevent potential loss.
- Open, close and assist members with Safe Deposit Box operations.
- Read and interpret credit bureau reports and explain information to members as needed.
- Originate, process and close loans.
Starting at 20.00/Hour
Requirements:Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience in a financial institution.
- 1+ year of experience selling both in person and over the phone.
- 1+ year of cash handling experience.
