We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Vessel Maintenance to join our team. The Director of Vessel Maintenance will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our fleet of towing vessels and associated equipment. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our assets, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of maintenance and safety protocols.

Requirements:
  • Lead and manage a team of port engineers and technical staff responsible for the maintenance and repair of towing vessels, engines, generators, propulsion systems and other onboard equipment
  • Execute comprehensive maintenance and repair programs to ensure the reliability and safety of the fleet, including scheduled inspections, overhauls, corrective & preventive maintenance activities
  • Monitor vessel performance and operational data to identify opportunities for optimizing fuel efficiency, reducing emissions, and enhancing overall operational effectiveness
  • Collaborate with the operations and safety departments to ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, best practices related to vessel maintenance, safety and environmental protection
  • Oversee the procurement of spare parts, equipment, and supplies necessary for vessel maintenance and repair activities, while managing inventory levels and cost control
  • Provide technical expertise and support for major repairs, retrofits, and upgrades to vessels and onboard systems, working closely with external contractors and vendors as needed
  • Contribute to the development and review of engineering standards, procedures, and policies to maintain the highest level of technical and operational excellence.
