Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Direct and supervise a team of port engineers and technical personnel tasked with the maintenance and repair of towing vessels, engines, generators, propulsion systems, and other onboard apparatus.
  • Maintenance Programs: Implement thorough maintenance and repair strategies to guarantee the reliability and safety of the fleet, encompassing scheduled inspections, overhauls, and both corrective and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze vessel performance and operational metrics to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing fuel efficiency, minimizing emissions, and improving overall operational effectiveness.
  • Compliance Collaboration: Work in conjunction with operations and safety departments to ensure adherence to industry regulations, company policies, and best practices concerning vessel maintenance, safety, and environmental stewardship.
  • Procurement Oversight: Manage the acquisition of spare parts, equipment, and supplies essential for maintenance and repair tasks, while overseeing inventory levels and cost management.
