The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Landscape Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of landscape projects, from concept to completion. You can expect tol work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to create beautiful, functional, and sustainable outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed landscape plans, including site analysis, planting plans, grading and drainage plans, and construction details
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and schedules for landscape projects
  • Work with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure that landscape projects are completed to the required quality standards and within budget
  • Lead the design and development of landscape projects
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and develop design concepts that meet their requirements
  • Selecting appropriate plants, materials, and features based on the site's conditions and the client's preferences
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in landscape design, and incorporating them into your work
Your Qualifications + Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • A bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture or related field or relevant experience in landscape design
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design concepts to clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Experience managing landscape projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration
  • Strong design skills and a deep understanding of landscape architecture principles, including site analysis, planting design, grading and drainage, and construction detailing
  • Our company values the ability to use new technologies, but we also value the ability to create hand drawn designs; hand drawing design experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design software a plus
  • Ability to work quickly and independently, as well as listen to client feedback attentively.
  • A collaborative attitude and a willingness to constantly learn, improve and push your own design work forward.
