JEVS Care at Home is a non-profit organization that provides non-medical homecare services to those in need throughout Pennsylvania. It is our mission to deliver industry leading in-home care through recruiting, empowering and investing in the growth of our Caregivers.


We currently have full-time and part-time openings available for day shifts, evening shifts, and weekends in Reading. Ideal candidates will have a passion for helping others, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to perform a variety of tasks to ensure the well-being and comfort of our clients. Bilingual applicants (English & Spanish) are encouraged to apply. 


Current Openings in Reading, PA:

Female client: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, 5pm-7pm, Saturday-Sunday 9am-5pm, 5pm-7pm, 

Male Client: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, Saturday-Sunday 10am-4pm

  • Paid Training- Virtual training is available and is required annually. 


Your Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in their homes with personal care - bathing, dressing, grooming
  • Help with light housekeeping, food shopping, meal preparation, medication reminders and laundry
  • Offer companionship and supervision
  • Report to Client Care Manager regarding direction of care, client updates and concerns, scheduling, etc.


Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Client Care Manager
  • Must satisfactorily complete JEVS Care at Home written exam and orientation program
  • Must pass background check/clearances as required by state regulations
  • Must demonstrate the 3 C's: Commitment, Communication and Care.
  • Ability to get to and from the client's home
